Aminé’s Next New Balance Sneaker Collaboration Will Release Before the End of 2024

After releasing four total colorways for the New Balance 610T “Mooz” and 610S “Mini Mooz” slip-on in 2023, Aminé has begun the teasing process for his third New Balance sneaker collaboration.
The Portland rapper took to Instagram Monday to announce his next New Balance sneaker will release in 2024. Aminé’s announcement mirrors that of his banana yellow and brown 610T from last year, as a video sees him and two friends staring up at a billboard and debating its efficacy.
Where the previous billboard read, A Kid From Portland Has His Own Sneaker,” the new one is dense with accomplishments — calling out his three studio albums, four mixtapes, 11-time platinum status, 5 billion streams and two New Balance collaborations — as well as a few bumps in the road in the form of losing two awards and dropping out of Portland State University.
Aminé can be seen wearing what looks to be a blue and orange pair of the 1906U, which could very well be the sneaker he’s teasing. In the previous trailer, he was wearing his 610 before formally unveiling it.
In a Footwear News profile for Black History Month, Aminé said he’d consider New Balance collaborations his first or second best accomplishment. “Before music, I wanted to become a sneaker designer. That was the goal,” he said. “I took part in design programs as a kid, actually designing sneakers and being taught by mentors who worked at different brands and mentoring kids in Portland.”
Aminé’s 610T “Mooz” released in August 2023 and was followed in November by the more limited 610S “Mini Mooz,” which was released with just 503 pairs total across the three colorways.
Those who want to see Aminé’s billboard in Portland can head to 205 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The rapper has promised to repost those who take a photo there.
