Anderson Cooper reveals he walked out 45 minutes into 'The Last Jedi'
Anderson Cooper dropped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, where he revealed he just couldn’t sit through Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
When asked about the film, Cooper said, “I actually saw it last night. I walked out. I know, I know. I’m sorry.”
After incurring the ire of the studio audience, Cooper tried to explain, saying, “I had a lot going on. I have a lot of work to do. It wasn’t a protest. I had too much to do.”
Considering that Cooper paid for his ticket, Colbert was a little skeptical, asking him, “You paid money, walked in, and it it occurred to you in the middle of the movie, ‘I don’t have time for this?'”
Cooper responded, “Yeah, about 45 minutes in. I thought, ‘I’m not giving it the attention it deserves.'”
Cooper said he plans to see the film when he can give it his undivided attention.
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
