Andie MacDowell’s Daughter Rainey Revealed She’s Pregnant With a Funny (& Risqué!) Announcement
Andie Macdowell is going to be a grandma again! Her 35-year-old daughter Rainey Qualley just revealed she is expecting her first baby, and fans are very “obsessed” with her funny and risqué pregnancy announcement!

“this is how babies are made. ??” the model captioned a post on Instagram today. In the first one, she stands in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa with a hand on her hip. She’s wearing a white slip romper with lace edges that shows off her growing baby bump.
Qualley’s boyfriend, filmmaker Anthony John Wilson, is in the next photo, lying on the fenced-off partition at the Tower of Pisa in short white shorts. The tower appears to be a (*cough*) part of Wilson in the photo that has NSFW implications. She also shared photos of Polaroids of the duo posing in front of the landmark.
Fans loved this totally original pregnancy announcement. “OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGGGG IM OBSESSSSED,” one person said. “EPIC!!! So happy for you two ??” someone else wrote.
Keleigh Teller said, “Oh my god!!! Congrats!!!!??” Tallulah Willis said, “Omg congratulations mammicito!!!”
Wilson also announced the pregnancy on his own Instagram page. “I can’t wait to be a dad,” he captioned a photo carousel. Qualley smiles in the first photo, standing on a pier over water in a tiny pink string bikini. Her bare baby bump is on full display, and she’s absolutely glowing with happiness. (He also included a photo of a rainbow and a picture of a pregnant squirrel, so you can tell he is really excited!)
MacDowell became a grandma for the first time in 2023, when her son Justin Qualley, 38, welcomed a baby with his wife Nicolette. (MacDowell shares Justin, Rainey, and Margaret, 29, with ex Paul Qualley.) In an appearance on The Today Show, she revealed that she wants to be called either “Nana or Grandma,” and definitely “not Granny!” She’s way too cool for that!
The Maid star opened up about raising daughters in a July 2022 interview with Sunday Time Style magazine. “I wonder about making little girls too nice, you know? I think it’s much more important to teach them boundaries within that politeness,” she said. “I don’t want them to be rude, but I want them also to have a sense of space and their own personal expectations. My girls will tell you this, about my son not being treated differently to them.”
With a grandma like that and a mom who is bold and unique in her own way, the soon-to-be Baby Qualley is going to grow up to be a firecracker!
