Andy Cohen’s Son Ben Made an Adorable Nature Discovery & His Utter Joy Is Contagious
Here’s your reminder to stop and smell the flowers — or the “dandy-lions,” as Andy Cohen’s son Ben says. The 5-year-old excitedly showed his dad a fun nature discovery in a new video, and his awestruck wonder and utter joy is contagious!
“We can discover the wonders of nature! Have a great last day of summer…. #Lellow,” the Bravo TV host captioned a video on Instagram. The family is clearly vacationing, as Ben runs on a deck outside barefoot in his cozy Hanukkah pajamas.

“Show me, show me,” Cohen says in the video, following his son. “Those!” Ben says, pointing to a shrub with tiny flower petals not yet blooming.
“What are they?” Cohen asks. Ben replies in the cutest little voice, “They’re flowers but I think they’re going to turn into dandy-lions because of these little things.” He points to the closed-up yellow buds.
“Wow, they’re so pretty!” Cohen praises.
“Yeah, because they think they’re going to turn into dandy-lions,” Ben repeats. He’s talking fast because he’s clearly so excited by his discovery, which is so adorable to hear.
Ben reaches over to touch one of the buds, telling his dad “the inside is ‘lellow.’” Our hearts! “And these things — these little kids,” he said, referring to another part.
Later, Ben tells his dad that a friend from his “old school” told him all about this plant. “That’s great, they’re so pretty,” Andy responds.
“Oh my gosh, I love Ben so much he’s so smart ?? and I love how excited you got to see what Ben had to show you,” Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Lisa Barlow commented.
“He’s so cute and curious and smart!! And his little voice gets me every time ?” someone else commented. “The Lellow phase of parenting is my absolute favorite. ??” another wrote.

The Watch What Happens Live star, who is also dad to 2-year-old daughter Lucy, opened up about his funny son in a January interview with PEOPLE. “He’s so funny, and that tickles me for obvious reasons,” Cohen said. “I love it that he makes me laugh. I posted something the other day where he was collecting bottle caps and I said, ‘What are you gonna do with these bottles?’ And he said, ‘I’m gonna put them on bottles.’ I mean, it’s quite literal, but I thought, ‘Oh, you’re smart.'”
