Andy Reid Discovers the Wonders of Slip-On Sneakers in His Skechers Super Bowl Commercial
While he may not be quite as ubiquitous as Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid has had a pretty good side gig going through commercial appearances for State Farm. His role as a pitchman is now continuing with Skechers‘ 2025 Super Bowl ad, which itself riffs on the concept of side gigs and has gone online early for viewing.
In the spot, Reid announces his secondary role as a hand model. But that pursuit goes up in flames when he discovers Skechers’ Slip-Ins, sneakers that obviate the need to use his hands while putting them on and thus making him question his need to use his hands at all.

“I’m a no-nonsense football guy who needs everything around me to be easy so I can just focus on the game—especially when it’s for the championship,” Reid said of his appearance in a press release. “These Skechers Hands Free Slip-Ins have made my routine quicker and easier. No one wants to go into overtime just because of their shoes, and best of all they give me time to focus on my second career that you’ll see in my first commercial for Skechers!”
Skechers has had a near-perennial presence since making its Super Bowl debut in 2010 with an ad starring Joe Montana. When it airs Sunday, this year’s ad will mark the company’s twelfth. Other commercials over the years have made use of major talent including Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg together, as well as Willie Nelson and Mark Cuban. Last year’s spot saw Mr. T and Tony Romo cast as co-stars.
