Anna DeGuzman of Bergenfield to show off her magical skills on 'AGT: Fantasy League'

Magician and Bergenfield native Anna DeGuzman is getting another shot to show off her magical skills Monday night on "America's Got Talent: Fantasy League."

During the last season of the NBC show, DeGuzman wowed the judges with her intricate card tricks, winning her a ticket to the finale in September as she perfectly matched a seemingly random lineup of cards that Terry Crews had chosen and organized them to form the exact date and time of the broadcast. She then made the queen of hearts appear in the envelopes of all four judges as well as the entire audience.

She competed against 11 other acts during the final show and ultimately finished in second place, the runner-up to winner Adrian Stoica and his dog Hurricane, who walked away with the $1 million prize and the opportunity to perform at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

DeGuzman is the first female magician to become a runner-up on "America's Got Talent."

Now the magic continues for DeGuzman, as she was selected to participate in "America's Got Talent: Fantasy League."

"I feel like magical things are happening to me all the time," DeGuzman said last year as she anticipated her big final act.

"AGT: Fantasy League" is a spinoff of the original show where the judges, Mel B, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, will each have a roster of 10 acts that they personally chose from the 40 nominated acts. They will mentor their contestants throughout the season.

"I'm thankful to AGT Fantasy League for giving me another shot to show my talent to the world and I can't wait for you all to see it," DeGuzman said in a post on Instagram. "Since appearing on 'America's Got Talent' season 18 a few months ago my career as a performer has reached new heights. I can't wait to show the world how my act has evolved."

Each act in "Fantasy League" will have competed on the show in the past and is getting a second chance to show off their skills, which include magic, music, dancing, aerial tricks, ventriloquism and more.

The first episode of "auditions" aired Jan. 1, when 10 acts competed for one of six spots in the semifinal. Two more audition episodes aired on Jan. 8 and Jan. 15, with the final one airing Monday, when DeGuzman and nine others will start their redemption runs.

After that, the remaining acts will compete in the semifinals on Jan. 29 and Feb. 5.

The finals will air on Feb. 12 and Feb. 19, with the winner taking home a $250,000 grand prize.

You can watch the show on NBC and NBC.com at 8 p.m. each Monday. New episodes will stream the next day on Peacock.

If you want to see DeGuzman in person, she will be performing live at Midnight Theatre in Manhattan in her one-hour off-Broadway show "Queen of Cards" on Jan. 25 and 26.

Tickets are available on her website.
