Anna Faris Reveals She Would Return to ‘Scary Movie’ Franchise Under Two Conditions
Anna Faris has a few non-negotiables if she were to reprise her role for the new Scary Movie installment.
Paramount and Miramax announced earlier this year that they’re making another film after director Malcom D. Lee’s Scary Movie 5 in 2013. The actress, who played Cindy Campbell in the franchise’s first four films from 2000 to 2006, recently shared with People magazine what it would take for her to join the upcoming movie.

“Well, money!” Faris said with a laugh. But she “would love to reprise” her role if she also knew her former Scary Movie co-star Regina Hall, who played her character’s best friend Brenda, was returning as well.
“I would love to work with Regina again. I just love her so much,” the My Spy: The Eternal City actress added. “We would make each other giggle all day long. Regina Hall would be my answer. And money. But mostly all Regina!”
Faris later explained the impact those films had on her life and career, notably since she rose to fame following the first installment in 2000.
“I love that franchise. It was like my bootcamp, my beginnings,” The House Bunny star said. “If there is a high school comparison for my growth experience, those four movies played an important role in my life in terms of teaching me how to use props, teaching me how to fall, how to get hit in the head — how to hold Chiclets in my mouth and then spit them out with blood at a convenient time for the camera.”
The film series mainly focuses on spoofing horror films. Neither Faris nor Hall appeared in Scary Movie 5, which starred Simon Rex and Ashley Tisdale.
