Anna Sawai Embraces Delicate Romance in Dior Dress at Louvre’s Grand Fashion Dinner
Anna Sawai joined a bevy of A-list guests for the Louvre Grand Fashion Dinner on Tuesday in Paris. The “Shōgun” Emmy Award-winning actress and trailblazing star styled an airy, delicate look from the Paris runway.
For the star-studded occasion, Sawai wore a white gown with a high-low skirt and ornately detailed clean fabric courtesy of Christian Dior’s spring 2025 couture collection. The dress featured ornate embroidered work throughout, with floral patterning and a cage-like skirt.

Sawai’s sleeveless gown featured a bow at the waist for added definition and a slightly scooped neckline for an added touch. The actress accessorized her look with dazzling pieces of jewelry, including a shimmering silver necklace and statement earrings.
The dress was featured as part of Dior’s spring 2025 couture collection, which debuted during Paris Fashion Week last January. The collection was described by WWD’s Joelle Diderich as creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s “most unabashedly romantic collection to date.”
“She balanced the extravagant shapes with humble materials, embroidering tulle dresses with raffia, straw and horsehair ribbons, and exposing inner constructions with sheer corsets and cage-like skirts,” Diderich wrote of the collection.
“What we want to celebrate is the process of the couture work, and that is also the part that I enjoy more. It’s sometimes more emotional,” Chiuri said, per Diderich’s review. “When we are in the process, it’s like all the team is playing together. We are playing the game of couture. After, when it’s done, your game is finished, so in some way you are just a little bit sad.”
The Louvre Grand Fashion Dinner is a fundraising event that celebrates the new Louvre Couture exhibition, which opened on Jan. 24. The event also serves as a kick-off to Paris Fashion Week, which concludes March 11. Keira Knightley, Doechii and more stars attended the event.
