Annual bluegrass festival returns to Frankfort
FRANKFORT, Ill. — An annual festival is bringing legendary bluegrass musicians to Chicagoland this weekend.
The Frankfort Bluegrass Festival is set to kick off on Saturday and will bring more than 20 bands to the village for the 12th annual event.

The festival will feature two stages, which will host more than 40 performances from international, national and regional artists.
This year’s event will feature performances from the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Jim Lauderdale & The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Miles Over Mountains, The Grateful String Band, Wheels North, Special Consensus and more.

The event, which will take place at Breidert Green Park in downtown Frankfort, is free to the public and will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 14.
