Anthony Scaramucci Rips Daily Beast for ‘Fake News’ of His ‘Imminent’ White House Return
Anthony Scaramucci blasted the Daily Beast Monday after the online publication suggested that the former White House Communications Director was floating a return to the West Wing.
“Don’t believe fake news. No standards left in journalism anymore. All anonymous sources. @thedailybeast this week’s fake news award,” he tweeted.
The original Daily Beast report, an exclusive by Washington correspondents, Lachlan Markay and Asawin Suebsaeng, quoted three anonymous sources who said that Scaramucci was privately telling friends that a return to the White House was possible and that both President Trump and first daughter Ivanka Trump pined for his return.

Scaramucci also retweeted a post from a Wall Street broker/journalist friend, Laura Goldman, adding a personal touch to his denial.
“I will be back in the @WhiteHouse when @kenvogel wins the Pulitzer,” he wrote, referencing the former Politico reporter now at the New York Times. “Neither of those things happening anytime soon!”

Scaramucci did not immediately respond to request for comment from TheWrap, but his official denial was published by the Daily Beast.
“[T]his is absolute nonsense,” he told the publication in a text message. “Happy new year [and] be well. I have said nothing like that at all…Don’t believe BS.”
Once a rising star in the White House, former hedge-funder Scaramucci was bounced from his role as Communications Director after just 10 days.

The departure was precipitated by a vulgar interview with the New Yorker in which Scaramucci said then-White House chief strategist Steve Bannon was “trying to suck [his] own c–k,” and called then Chief of Staff Reince Priebus a “f—ing paranoid schizophrenic.”
