GOSHEN — Apollo’s Fire performs Handel’s “Israel in Egypt” oratorio at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Goshen College’s Music Center.
Known for its historically informed performances of Baroque and Classical repertoire, the Cleveland-based Apollo’s Fire aims to immerse the audience in the powerful choral storytelling of the exodus of the Israelites, brought to life through the dynamic interplay of the orchestra, choir and vocal soloists.
“Israel in Egypt” is hailed as one of Handel’s most dramatic and compelling oratorios, portraying the biblical tale with fervent emotion and intricate musicality.
