On this week’s episode of Bob’s Burgers, Bob believes that his kids should have a proper summer vacation away from the restaurant, so he does the humane thing: He fires them. But the ink on their resumes is barely dry when they are snapped up by a pair of married hippie farmers — played by Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) and his real-life wife, Megan Mullally (Childrens Hospital, Parks and Recreation) — who employ them as “weed pickers.” Catch their funky drift? “Bob Fires the Kids” airs Sunday at 8:30 p.m. on Fox, which renewed this animated comedy for a fourth season earlier this week.
UPDATE: Bob’s Burgers will be pre-empted on Sunday as Fox will broadcast Game 6 of the National League Championship Series. The episode will air on Nov. 4.
