'Harry's Law' canceled by NBC
Too bad Harry’s Law wasn’t a comedy.
While NBC’s half hours are getting picked up left and right despite modest ratings, the David E. Kelley legal drama is now officially canceled. “Sad news today,” Bates tweeted. “Harry’s Law will not be renewed for a 3rd season. We are all terribly sad. Many thanks for all your support.” Kelley will have a new show on NBC’s schedule next season, Chicago Fire.
Harry’s Law was very much on the bubble until the last minute, but despite averaging a relatively healthy 8.8 million viewers, the drama only had a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 (in other words, it didn’t attract enough young viewers). Earlier, NBC axed Awake and three other shows, but has renewed most of its comedies.
