As Charley continues to juggle her high-profile split from Davis (Timon Kyle Durrett) and the sugar cane farm with Ralph Angel, Micah (Nicholas L. Ashe) finds himself being profiled by a police officer. Following a heartbreaking split in season one, Violet (Tina Lifford) addresses her true feelings for Hollywood (Omar J. Dorsey)…but is she too late? And will Ralph Angel pursue his right to the property after discovering his late father’s will?
“Usually you know sometimes a series in their second season slump a little. We don't slump we rise,” Winfrey boasted when ET chatted with her and director Ava DuVernay at the Queen Sugar junket earlier this month.
“It's so relatable. I think particularly when you are born of the African American culture,” Winfrey added. “One of the things that Ava has said so eloquently that I now act like it's my own, is that true humanity is born at the kitchen table because that's where everybody is equal.”
