Apple’s ‘Way Of The Warrior Kid’ Adds Levi McConaughey & Ava Torres
EXCLUSIVE: Young up-and-comers Levi McConaughey and Ava Torres (Match Me If You Can) have landed supporting roles in Way of the Warrior Kid, Apple and Skydance’s youth empowerment tale, based on the novel by Jocko Willink.
The duo’s roles are under wraps. As previously announced, Chris Pratt, Linda Cardellini and Jude Hill lead the cast, with the latter tackling the title role.

Written by Will Staples, with McG aboard to direct, Way of the Warrior Kid follows a self-doubting boy (Hill) who gets bullied and is hard-pressed to complete a single pull-up. That’s until his uncle Jake (Pratt), an elite Navy SEAL, is injured on a mission and moves in with his sister (Cardellini) for rehab. When he discovers his 13-year-old nephew, Marc, is struggling academically, socially and physically, Jake takes on a new mission: using his SEAL Team training over three months of summer to help the youth find his inner warrior.
Hailing from a first-look partnership between Apple and Skydance Media, the film will be produced by Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger, alongside McG and Mary Viola for Wonderland Sound and Pratt for Indivisible Productions. Additional producers include Ben Everard for Everard Entertainment and Willink.
The project marks the first major screen credit for Levi McConaughey, the 16-year-old son of Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, who makes his feature debut. He is represented by WME.
In her career to date, Torres has been seen in films like Vertical’s rom-com Match Me If You Can and Grindstone’s family adventure pic The Quest for Tom Sawyer’s Gold, along with NBC’s Ordinary Joe and Nickelodeon’s The Really Loud House. She is repped by 11:11 Entertainment for management and Page Parks in Texas for local projects.
