Ashley Graham changes newborn son's diaper on the floor of Staples store: 'No restroom in sight!'
Supermodel Ashley Graham knows that parenting a newborn isn’t exactly glamorous.
The supermodel and host of the Pretty Big Deal podcast, 32, shared a photo on Instagram Friday showing her changing her newborn son Isaac’s diaper in the aisle of a Staples store. Dressed in a black sweater, black leopard-print leggings and white sneakers, Graham took on diaper duty mid-shopping trip.
“S**t just got real! First diaper blow up while running errands with no restroom in sight! Thank God I remembered to put the changing mat in the diaper bag!!!” Graham wrote in her post.
“That’s a queen right there,” commented Amy Schumer, along with a boxing glove emoji. Actress Sara Foster chimed in, “We’ve all been there.”
Graham, who welcomed son Isaac Menelik Giovanni Ervin with her husband Justin Ervin on Jan. 18, is determined to normalize the everyday tasks of motherhood. Just two days ago, she posted an Instagram video during which she pumped breast milk while riding in the backseat of an Uber in New York City.
“[Used] to answer emails on my uber rides, now I pump before my breasts explode,” she captioned the video.
The model has also shared a photo of herself nursing Isaac at a restaurant and was praised for normalizing public breastfeeding. And she opened up about wearing postpartum “diapers,” disposable underwear given to new mothers for bleeding.
Graham recently detailed her home birthing experience on her podcast, saying the challenge filled her with pride. “I feel like there's nothing I can't do,” she said. “There's nothing that could come...where I say, ‘Oh, that's too hard I can't handle that.' I went through laboring for six hours, naturally. At home."
