Aubrey O'Day says she curates her Instagram 'like a museum of art' amid photoshop allegations
A picture is worth a thousand words — but Aubrey O’Day has a few more to add.
The Danity Kane singer took to Instagram Sunday to address allegations that many of her photos are photoshopped and fabricated. O’Day shared a pair of images of herself photoshopped to be hugging Jesus at the gates of Heaven and jokingly wrote: "Took the (private jet) to Heaven in the last 24.. wanted to share with y’all how beautiful it was. Also ran into Jesus and we hugged it out."
"Not that I need to explain myself," she added elsewhere in the caption, "but I've been in this industry for over 20 years and have been traveling the world since I was 7."
O’Day has various photos on her Instagram account that feature her in picturesque locations, including Bali, Indonesia, Santorini, Greece, and Bora Bora, French Polynesia. But some followers on social media scrutinized the authenticity of O'Day's photos recently.

"Girl was u really there or naw," one Instagram user commented.
"Photoshop queen," another user commented.
Clapping back on photoshop allegations, O'Day continued: "If I want my Instagram to be curated like a museum of ART then that’s what the (expletive) is going to happen. I’m an artist, a REAL creator. I do all of my creative from my music to my flicks.. everything from my hair, glam, nails, styling, backdrops, editing, shooting."
In her caption, O'Day also seemingly called out TikTok user @residualdata, who recently uploaded a video review of O’Day’s recent social media photos, questioning their authenticity.

"(Jesus) told me to let the lil bird on tiktok with SO much to say about my life.. that she needs to stop …," the singer wrote.
"you don’t even need to concentrate on others to be your own version of special and necessary in this world.. you can make positive changes just by using your own gifts.. stop looking left and right if you wanna move forward," O'Day added.
The TikTok user, whose real name is Sophie, had previously alleged that O'Day "either just steals content from other content creators" or Photoshops herself into promotional images. "In an era where social comparison is so high and has real effects, why are we doing this?" the user added.
While O’Day didn’t explicitly deny altering her photos, she said "a lot of the shots I give y’all are in places you have to spend hours scaling mountains to get to."
"The weather isn’t always perfect when I shoot, and I vacation alone.. I don’t need to be flown places," O’Day wrote. "Respect my aesthetic, I work hard to give y’all beautiful content that feels the way the places I travel vibrate.. because I want y’all to vibrate high with me."
O’Day shot to fame in the 2000s when she appeared in the MTV reality television series "Making the Band 3," which launched the dance-pop group Danity Kane.
She has also appeared on the shows "The Apprentice," "Celebrity Big Brother" and "Ex on the Beach," as well as released a solo EP, "Between Two Evils," in August 2013.
