Two million steps later, my year-old pair still looks pristine.

We all have those shoes we reach for when we just don’t want to deal. If you don’t want to have to think about your footwear, you grab them. If you know you’ll be walking miles and aren’t in the mood to deal with blisters and pains, you grab them. If you’re packing for a trip but can only fit two pairs into your too-small carry-on, you grab them. For me, those shoes are Cariuma’s Oca Low leather sneakers, and as the universe would have it, Aubrey Plaza was just spotted in them.

The actress, who’s been busy promoting her latest film, My Old Ass, was snapped out and about in New York City wearing the most relatable look—and by relatable, I quite literally mean I wore that exact combo two days ago while also carrying a cup of coffee in one hand and handbag in the other. Her ensemble is easy! It’s comfy! But it’s cute! And as any New Yorker knows, that’s all you could ever need in an outfit that’s suitable for whatever the city throws your way.

Plaza opted for a black maxi cami dress that harkens back to the ‘90s. She paired the dress with the aforementioned Cariuma leather sneakers that are my saving grace—and I mean that. No matter what I wear, no matter the occasion, I know that I can also fall back on these low-top leather kicks because they’re sleek and comfy. In fact, they’re my favorite white sneakers in the world—I swear. I love them so much, I got my sister obsessed with them—and I know you will be, too.

The Oca Lows that Plaza stepped out in are just like the brand’s best-selling style Gabrielle Union recently wore (which just so happen to be marked down during the brand’s rare Archive Sale); they have the same silhouette and detailing, but with a luxe, LWG-certified premium pebbled leather that’s ideal for city-wear. It’s easy for the exterior of canvas sneakers to get dirty quickly, but with a leather option like Plaza’s, you can rest assured that you’ll be able to easily wipe off dirt and grime.

Aside from the exterior, the rest of the Oca Lows are all the same. With a comfort-first, ultra-durable design, you’ll find the much-loved breathable organic-cotton lining, a bouncy, removable cork and bio-based foam insole, a slip-resistant outsole, and a vulcanized exterior that’s built to last, step after step. I’ve worn my pair for more than a year, during which they’ve easily gotten more than 2.5 million steps of wear, and they still look good. Sure, there’s some normal wear and tear, but when I compare them to my other white sneakers, they look the best.

If you’ve never tried Cariuma’s sneakers—a brand that also counts Brooke Shields and Glen Powell as fans—now’s the time to invest in a fresh pair before fall. Trust me: You’ll wear these over and over again.
