'Avengers: Infinity War' stars all signed each other's yearbooks at epic Marvel photo shoot
The actors who play the Avengers are used to fans geeking out over them — but the tables were turned at the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 10th anniversary photo shoot. At the October event, Marvel gathered nearly all the stars and filmmakers from the studio’s shared onscreen universe in one place for the first time. And as Yahoo Entertainment learned from the cast of Avengers: Infinity War, many of the actors went around collecting autographs. Watch the interview above.
“It was fun to see everybody’s fanboying and fangirling, everybody trying to get selfies with people, getting autographs,” recalled Don Cheadle, who plays James “Rhodey” Rhodes/War Machine. “We all got a big Marvel universe book for the 10th anniversary, and everybody was getting everyone to sign it, like high school.”
Who was top on the list of stars everyone wanted to meet? For Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) and Dave Bautista (Drax), it was Michael Douglas. Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, and Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri, were astonished to see Laurence Fishburne at the party. (Fishburne joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this summer’s Ant-Man and the Wasp.) Zoe Saldana (Gamora) and Pratt geeked out over Gwyneth Paltrow. Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo were awestruck by the sheer amount of star power. “When you looked around that stage and counted up all the Oscar winners and Oscar-nominated actors, it was crazy,” said Joe Russo.
Avengers: Infinity War is in theaters and smashing records.
