'Bachelor' Ben Higgins went romantic proposing to Jessica Clarke, as the pictures prove

Season 20 "Bachelor" star Ben Higgins proposed to girlfriend Jessica Clarke on Friday in a storybook romantic moment amid global coronavirus upheaval.
Clarke confirmed the engagement on Instagram, posting pictures taken by their not-too-distant respective families looking on. One picture included Higgins on one knee during the proposal, followed by a shot of the two smooching (taken from between two tree branches).
"I don’t remember everything you said, but I know that I said yes," Clarke wrote. "I woke up in a dream today and I get to live in this dream every day from now on."
Higgins, 31, had been planning to pop the question to Clarkein New York City during the "The Bachelor: Live on Stage" tour, he told Entertainment Tonight. When the coronavirus outbreak postponed the tour, Higgins planned a different proposal in Clarke's home state of Tennessee.
The couple have been quarantining together with his parents, but drove to Franklin, Tennessee, so they could be near Clarke's family for the proposal.
"I went back to a pond behind her house, and we had set it up with sunflowers near a bench. I proposed and her family and mine were watching from a distance, and then we all celebrated together," Higgins said.
Higgins admitted he started tearing up before he even reached the proposal spot, prompting Clarke to cry too. "She said it was one of two things: either I was ending our relationship, which would have been a huge shock ... or I was proposing," he said.
"This ring's never coming off!" Clarke raved.
Higgins had a less fortunate outcome with "The Bachelor." He and flight attendant Lauren Bushnell were engaged, but split in 2017.
Higgins firsaw Clarke on Instagram and sent her a direct message. The two went public in February 2019.
"It's time for a new chapter, and I think that excites me," he said.
