The Bachelorette's JoJo Fletcher Reacts to Rumors about Robby Hayes and Jordan Rodgers: 'I Know It's Not the Truth'
Spoiler warning: For those who haven't seen Monday's episode of The Bachelorette, plot details follow.
For months, The Bachelorette's JoJo Fletcher has been faced with rumors that her final two suitors, Robby Hayes and Jordan Rodgers, are less than genuine. Reports that former football player Rodgers is only looking for fame, and that sales rep Hayes dumped a serious girlfriend for the show have been incessant.
"It's hard for me to see people say these things about guys I know very well and care so much about," says Fletcher, 25. "But I feel like I did ask the right questions and I got the answers that I thought I needed. I know that's not the truth. I know these men."
The real estate developer says "it's been difficult" to see read the stories. "It's been rough. I can't imagine what they're going through dealing with it. But I think the greatest takeaway is you can't always believe what you read."
Now, Fletcher admits she's "really happy," with her final decision, though she was surprised by how strongly she ended up feeling at the same time for Hayes and Rodgers, both 27.
"I didn't expect to fall for more than one guy," she says. "I went into it being really scared of that because if anyone should not let that happen, it should have been me! But until you've been in these shoes and gone through it, I don't think you can understand. I just had to let myself be open to whatever happened."
The Bachelorette: Men Tell All airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET, and The Bachelorette's finale airs Monday at 8 p.m. ET, both on ABC.
