Bam! Pow! Oof! Classic Batman '66 Villains Band Together in This Supercut From 'Return of the Caped Crusaders' (Exclusive)
Suffering from Dark Knight fatigue? We’ve got the antidote for those who prefer their Caped Crusaders campy. Here’s an exclusive supervillain supercut from Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, a new animated feature-length film that brings back Adam West and Burt Ward as the Dynamic Duo. (Watch above.)
The goofily retro clip kicks off in classic fashion, with Ward’s amped-up Dick Grayson exclaiming, “Holy unholy alliance! Our greatest foes have united!” after the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman hijack a live TV variety show.

Full of campy action, way-out plot points (the Dynamic Duo wind up in space), and painful puns, the direct-to-video movie is set in the universe of the ’60s-era Batman series, providing counterprogramming to the grim goings-on in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad.
And while the series’ original Joker (Cesar Romero), Penguin (Burgess Meredith), and Riddler (Frank Gorshin) have all passed away — they are voiced here by sound-alikes — Julie Newmar is behind the microphone for a purr-fect rendition of her classic Catwoman opposite former onscreen foils West and Ward.
Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders arrives on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday.
