Barbie and Wrangler’s New Western-Chic Collaboration Is Ready for the Fashion Rodeo
Barbie is stepping into the rodeo with a new Wrangler clothing collaboration.
A nod to the iconic Mattel doll’s history of playing with Western wear and ranch life (she once owned a horse in the 1970s) the California-meets-cowgirl collection ($25-$140) of women’s and kids apparel and accessories comprises graphic tees, button-down shirts, bootcut jeans, dresses, denim jackets, outerwear and hats, including matching adults and children’s silhouettes. Items feature signature Wrangler touches, such as the back leather patch and “W” embroidered pockets.

Standout pieces include a “Ken Blue” Western Utility Jacket with embroidered cacti and rainbows, the signature Wrancher fringe jacket in bright pink, logo sweaters, puff-sleeved dresses and button-downs in bandana motifs, illustrated snap shirts with pearlized buttons and playful pink denim pants with an all-over desert-inspired print with horseshoes, cowboy hats and boots, and Barbie’s signature ponytailed silhouette.

There are also family mix-and-match pieces such as logo sweaters, balloon-sleeved embroidered blouses, fuzzy rainbow sweaters, ringer tees and pink sherpa jackets, to name a few.
The Wrangler x Barbie collab joins a slew of Mattel doll-inspired fashion and beauty collections timed to celebrate Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster Barbie film, which is Warner Bros.’ highest box office earner, beating out the final Harry Potter movie.
