Ben Affleck steps out smiling after reuniting with Jennifer Lopez in LA following months apart
Ben Affleck had a big smile on his face after his reunion with Jennifer Lopez.
The “Gone Girl” star, 51, was in high spirits heading to his Los Angeles office on Tuesday, two days after he spent five hours with his wife at his rental home amid their rumored impending divorce.
Affleck stepped out in a navy blue suit with black dress shoes. He wore a pair of black sunglasses and carried a black duffel bag.
On Sunday, Lopez, 55, was spotted at her husband’s rental home in the Brentwood neighborhood of LA.
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer arrived at Affleck’s place around 5 p.m. and stayed for nearly five hours, departing just before 10 p.m.
Earlier that day, Lopez was photographed at the home of Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
Lopez dropped off one of her kids, Emme, 16, and took Samuel shopping at Neiman Marcus and later to the Century City mall. It’s possible they were buying a gift for Affleck whose birthday is on Thursday.
“Bennifer” have not been photographed together since June, as it’s widely believed they are heading toward divorce.
The stars have been on the rocks since May, when it was reported that Affleck was staying at a separate house from Lopez.
The pair have since put their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion on the market, while Affleck purchased his own home in Los Angeles for $20.5 million.
The “Gigli” co-stars have spent the summer apart, with Lopez vacationing in Europe and the Hamptons and Affleck busy working in LA.
They were not together for the second anniversary of their Las Vegas wedding or Lopez’s 55th birthday, both of which were in July.
It’s unclear if they’ll reunite on Aug. 20 for the two-year anniversary of their star-studded wedding ceremony that took place at Affleck’s Georgia home.
Last week, TMZ reported that Lopez and Affleck are no longer speaking in person or over the phone.
The outlet also reported that the A-listers are using their business managers to figure out the finances of their divorce, rather than hiring lawyers.
Lopez and Affleck were initially together from 2002 to 2004. They ended their engagement in January 2004 after delaying their wedding “due to the excessive media attention” that surrounded the couple at the time.
Following the breakup, they went on to marry and have kids with other partners, before they reconciled in 2021. They married in July 2022 in Las Vegas after a three-month engagement and later staged a more elaborate ceremony in Georgia.
