Benoit Blanc has an intriguing new haircut in ‘Knives Out 3’ first look
Wake up, a new Daniel Craig haircut photo just dropped!
Rian Johnson marked the first day of filming on “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” by sharing a first look photo of star Daniel Craig as private detective Benoit Blanc. Blanc is sporting a longer, shaggier haircut than he ever has before. He looks a little like Charles Dance, don’t you think?

The third “Knives Out” film is shooting in London, though the setting is undisclosed. In addition to Craig, the star-studded cast includes Josh Brolin (“Outer Range”), Josh O’Connor (“Challengers”), Cailee Spaeny (“Civil War”), Andrew Scott (“Ripley”), Kerry Washington (“Scandal”), Glenn Close (“Hillbilly Elegy”), Jeremy Renner (“Mayor of Kingstown”), and Mila Kunis (“Luckiest Girl Alive”), Daryl McCormack (“Good Luck to You, Leo Grande”), and Thomas Haden Church (“Horizon: An American Saga”). Johnson writes and directs, and produces with his production partner Ram Bergman.
Plot details are being kept close to the impeccably tailored vest, but “Knives Out” movies tend to feature Benoit Blanc solving the murder of a rich person. The suspects are all horrible rich people, and Blanc is aided by a saintly not-rich person. There are timely, socially relevant themes of income inequality and class conflict. The killer is usually fairly obvious, and the fun is in finding out how Blanc catches them.
The first “Knives Out” movie was released in theaters in 2019, and was followed by the Netflix-exclusive “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” in 2022. Both films received Academy Award nominations for their screenplays “Wake Up Dead Man” will also be a Netflix Original, though it will also get a limited theatrical release. It will be released in 2025.
The title “Knives Out” comes from a Radiohead song, while “Glass Onion” comes from a Beatles song. Continuing the theme, “Wake Up Dead Man” comes from a U2 song.
