Best of the VMAs: Beyonce′Lemonade, Kanye's Cat Lady, and Drake Loves Rihanna
The MTV Video Music Awards were live on Sunday night and while many critics considered the show disappointing, there were some great moments.
Beyonce′slayed even more than usual when she put on a live performance of “Lemonade.” The Queen Bee marched all over Madison Square Garden, seamlessly mixing several sets in a very impressive and entertaining manner. She even smashed a camera with a baseball bat, just like in the video for “Hold Up.”
Kanye West debuted the music video for his song “Fade.” The video starred Teyana Taylor, who danced around a gym, took a shower, and turned into a cat lady. The video is sure to be popular with teenage boys and cat fanciers.
Rihanna was honored with the Vanguard Award, which was given to her by tuxedo wearing Drake. During Drake’s introduction speech, he professed his love Rihanna saying, “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22-years-old.” Needless to say, the audience went nuts.
