‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ Star Jennie Garth Partners with QVC To Launch New Clothing Line

Jennie Garth is best remembered for her role as the queen of teens on the 1990s hit drama, Beverly Hills, 90210. Kelly Taylor was the epitome of the "it girl" in the '90s, dressing in the best clothes, dating the cutest boys and becoming the most popular girl in school. But now, Garth is making headlines again as she recently partnered with QVC to launch her new clothing line, "Me."

The star recently released her new collection of clothing in partnership with QVC, the shopping network. Garth details the collection on her website, writing, "I Choose Me, the most powerful saying and has inspired me in so many ways, because, when you prioritize your own wellbeing you become a role model for those around you to better listen to, love and choose themselves."

The inspiration behind the name she chose for the line comes from a very iconic moment from 90210. Garth's character, Kelly, had to make a decision between two of her longtime loves on the series, Brandon (Jason Priestly) and Dylan (Luke Perry). But rather than choosing between the two boys, she says, "I Choose Me."

While the now iconic line said by Kelly in the fifth season has lived on, nobody knew how much it would impact audiences as much as it has. "The beautiful woman that wrote that line, Jessica Klein, nor myself had any idea of the real impact of that line, I don't think — on just girls, women [and] people. Even to this day, that line has sort of walked with me through life and and been sort of a North Star for me."

Garth has been an inspiration for women since she first walked onto our screens in 1990. Not only was her character who everyone wanted to be, but she was also an inspiration to women and girls everywhere. "When I say, 'I choose me,' it can perhaps be heard as a selfish sort of declaration, but in actuality, it's just quite the opposite," Garth explains. "In life, you have to know who you are, you have to listen to yourself, before you can show up for other people."

Garth's iconic moment has lived a life of its own, and is now coming back around again. The actress is using the line, not only for her new clothing brand, but also as the name of a podcast she is hosting. Garth introduced the podcast, I Choose Me, in April 2024, describing it as "the ultimate form of self-care and self-love."

Now, Garth is using the line once again in partnership with QVC. The original release of the clothing line features a number of pieces, including T-shirts, sweatshirts and baseball caps. Each piece has the phrase written on it and some of the items have throwback photos of Garth as Kelly Taylor. The new pieces, that are set to release soon, are options for everyday wear, including casual jumpsuits, dresses and tops.

Garth spoke with Women's Wear Daily about the new collection and how she felt there was a need for it. "I felt there was a gap in the needs of people my age, 40s and 50s, something that was easily accessible and effortless and an easy decision to make every morning ..." Garth continued, saying, "[It's an opportunity] to speak to women in the QVC audience, and a lot of people in my audience too who have grown up with me, and love my style, or said, 'Where did you get that dress?' It's for all those people."

If you have been a fan of Garth since her 90210 days, or you are a newer fan of the star, this new collection is the perfect thing to feel empowered while also showing your 90210 love. The exclusive collection is available starting on July 29.
