Beyoncé Sings a ‘New American Song’ at Kamala Harris Campaign Rally in Wardrobe.NYC x RHW’s Hourglass-like Blazer Dress
Beyonce meant business on Friday in Houston — her hometown — while giving her endorsement for Kamala Harris in support of the Democratic presidential nominee’s bid for office at the “Reproductive Freedom” campaign rally at Shell Energy Stadium.
Indeed, freedom never looked so good. Introduced by her mother Tina Knowles, the Texas native entered the stage, alongside Kelly Rowland, wearing a black double-breasted blazer dress with a matching miniskirt from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s collaboration with Wardrobe.NYC.

The minimalist brand’s look was amplified to the max by its voluptuous silhouette — defined by sharp padded shoulders and a collarless neckline, and hourglass-like angles that nipped at the waist. Though it can stand alone as a dress, she paired it with a sculptural miniskirt from the collection. Stylist Shiona Turini curated the look.
Meanwhile, Rowland, who collaborated with stylist Wilford Lenov, wore a Fear of God suit with an Amiri shirt and tie.
Speaking to the crowd, Beyonce said that she and Harris are aligned with women’s rights to bodily autonomy, which has been a position emphasized throughout the Vice President’s campaign.
“I’m not here as a celebrity. I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother. A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in,” said Beyonce, who shares children Blue Ivy, 12, and 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir Carter with Jay Z. “A world where we have the freedom to control our bodies. A world where we’re not divided. Our past, our present, our future, merge to meet us here. Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations. Imagine our grandmothers, imagine what they feel right now. Those who have lived to see this historic day.”
Beyonce continued by encouraging viewers to vote, and then welcomed Harris to the stage. “We must vote and we need you,” she said. “It’s time to sing a new song. A song that began 248 years ago. The old notes of downfall, discord, despair, no longer resonate. Our generations of loved ones before us are whispering a prophecy, a quest, a calling, an anthem. Our moment right now. It’s time for America to sing a new song. Our voices sing a chorus of unity. They sing a song of dignity and opportunity. Are y’all ready to add your voice to the new American song? Because I am. So, let’s do this. Ladies and gentlemen, please, give a big loud Texas welcome to the next president of the United States, Vice President Kamala Harris.”
Other guests included Willie Nelson, Jessica Alba and Texas Senate candidate Colin Allred.
