Chuck Lorre
Chuck Lorre, aka the King of Sitcoms, is an American TV writer, producer and director who’s created some of the most beloved half-hour comedies of recent decades—and he has the net worth to show for it. “When I grew up, a situation comedy was, an astronaut comes home with a genie in a bottle. That’s a situation, right? Wait—I married a witch. That’s a situation,” Lorre told Variety. “But a family is a family. It’s not heightened and there’s no end to the material because it’s just life, you know?”
Working in TV since the 1980s, Lorre has created an empire of comedy that will no doubt be his legacy for many years to come. Here’s a look at his historic career and how much he’s made along the way.
