My Big Fat Greek Wedding Star Lainie Kazan on the Mend After Car Accident

Lainie Kazan is recovering after being involved in a car accident on Saturday.

"Lainie Kazan thanks her fans for their good wishes following an auto accident this past weekend. She is on the mend," a rep for the actress, 75, tells PEOPLE.

The My Big Fat Greek Wedding star was driving in California when got into a head-on collision with another car, reports TMZ.

According to TMZ, the actress and the other driver were both conscious after the accident, but the paramedics still took Kazan to the hospital to be evaluated for any further injuries. Photographs from the scene show Kazan being fitted with a neck brace by paramedics.

No citations have been issued, but police tell the website the accident is still under investigation.
