Josh Allen stars in Beats by Dre commercial, posts photos with girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld

Josh Allen's rise to crossover stardom is in the fast lane.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback stars a new Beats by Dre commercial with Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo.

Allen is a cowboy ? a herder on horseback, not the Dallas football kind ? in the trailer-style ad.

"Two superstar best friends are about to take the ride of their lives," the ad begins. A horse neighs, "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X plays, and Allen and Ricciardo transform from plainclothes into cowboys on a horse racing shenanigans adventure. The commercial teases "The Legend of Ricallen" short film on July 24.

Allen and Ricciardo are friends who met in Monaco in 2019. The race car driver is a Bills fan. Ricciardo attended Buffalo's game at MetLife Stadium in 2022 and traveled to London to watch the Bills in 2023. Allen surprised Ricciardo during live coverage of an F1 broadcast last year.

"I think they're still in a window where they have the ability and the opportunity to go all the way," Ricciardo told Bleacher Report this week. "I'm excited."

Allen was the cover athlete of Madden NFL 24 last year and is a frequent celebrity golfer. He's appeared in commercials for Gillette razors, Paramount+, Buffalo Wild Wings, Pepsi, and Verizon. On Tuesday, Allen drew celebrity tabloid attention for going "Instagram official" with girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld, when he posted a carousel of photos that featured the couple.
