Billy Eichner, Amy Poehler Partnering on USA Pilot Presentation
Comedian and actor Billy Eichner (“Billy on the Street”) will be expanding his repertoire to include a pilot presentation that will be exec produced by his “Parks and Recreation” co-star Amy Poehler.
“Difficult People,” created by Eichner and longtime friend Julie Klausner (“Mulaney”), stars the duo as frustrated comedians and pop culture-loving best friends living in New York City. They hate everyone except each other.
USA Network has ordered a pilot presentation for the comedy, which will be produced by Universal Cable Prods.
Klausner will pen the script for “Difficult People.”
Eichner, whose Funny or Die webseries “Billy on the Street” also appears on Fuse TV, is repped by WME and 3 Arts. Poehler is with WME, 3 Arts and Sloane Offer. Klausner is with WME and Avalon Management.
