Blake Lively Wears Two Latex Looks by Reneé Masoomian at the SXSW Premiere of ‘Another Simple Favor’
Blake Lively stepped out in two looks while at the SXSW premiere for her new film with Anna Kendrick, “Another Simple Favor.” Lively arrived to the red carpet while wearing a latex dress before shedding the short-sleeve overlay on the red carpet to reveal a corset and skirt.
Lively attended the event in a custom look by Reneé Masoomian, who also outfitted Lady Gaga for the music star’s “Abracadabra” video. Lively’s arrival look consisted of a sheer blush short-sleeve midi coat. The actress posted for photos on the red carpet in the coat before disrobing to a corset and maxi skirt adorned with lace doilies at the hem. Lively paired the look with pom-topped peep-toe heels and pinup hair.

Latex has been trending in recent months on the red carpet. In December, Halsey wore a baby pink latex minidress and paired it with latex black opera-length gloves at the Los Angeles premiere of “Babygirl.” Halsey completed her look with heavy chain bracelets with padlock charms, ball hoop earrings, white knee-high socks and patent leather pointed-toe heels. Meanwhile in October, Brooks Nader also opted to wear latex black opera gloves, alongside a plunging latex mini dress. Nader accessorized with a pair of sheer knee-high socks, pointed-toe platform heels, and a feathery purse. That same month Chrissy Teigen stepped out in a black latex bodysuit and a sheer latex pencil skirt by Ala?a at ChainFEST 2024 in Los Angeles. She paired the pieces with Ala?a fishnet sandal heels and gold jewelry, including Saint Laurent bracelets.
Lively was joined at the premiere by her costar Anna Kendrick, who also opted to wear a corseted look. Kendrick suited up in a plunging houndstooth corset and pinstriped trousers from LaQuan Smith. Kendrick paired the ensemble — look 8 from the fall 2025 collection — with layered gold and diamond serpent lariat necklaces by Bulgari and layered matching bracelets.
“Another Simple Favor” is the followup to Lively and Kendrick’s 2018 thriller “A Simple Favor,” and centers around Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Lively)’s reunion in Capri for Emily’s wedding. “Another Simple Favor” will be available to stream on Prime Video on May 1.
