Bones Comeback: Stars Dissect a Potential Revival

Doing press for their Boneheads rewatch podcast, castmates Emily Deschanel and Carla Gallo said that yes, indeed, they would be open to a revival of the 2005-17 series. Gallo was so enthusiastic that during her and Deschanel’s TV Insider interview, she asked, “Oh, did I answer too quickly?”

Deschanel was skeptical… at first. “I don’t know if that would ever happen,” she told the website, “but I’d be interested if the right idea came up. But I think they’d probably have younger people playing younger versions.”

For all 12 seasons, Deschanel starred as forensic anthropologist Temperance “Bones” Brennan, who winds up solving the biggest mystery of all — love — when she falls for her partner, FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz, who will always be Buffy’s Angel to some of us). Gallo joined the cast in Season 4 as Daisy Wick, whose romance with Lance Sweets became one of the show’s most popular.
