Bride's Bouquet Toss Sparks Wild Brawl Between 3 Wedding Guests in Viral Video

A sweet, time-honored wedding tradition turned ugly at a wedding in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In a now-viral video shared by What's the Jam?, a guest filmed a dramatic scene that ensued after the bride tossed her bouquet. The footage begins with a crowd of women dancing and clapping as an emcee counts down to the bouquet toss at a wedding reception, which took place in the city of Ljubu?ki on Monday, Sept. 9, per the outlet.

The bride, who was standing with her back to the women, then lobbed the bouquet toward the gathered crowd. Three of the guests jumped to grab the flowers from the air at the same time — and, as the bride turned to see who the lucky recipient of her bouquet might be, the trio began to physically fight over the coveted prize.

One woman wearing a black dress, who appeared to be holding the bouquet and was sitting on the floor, was dragged backward by a second woman in a silver dress as she attempted to snatch the bouquet from her hands. A third woman in a blue gown stood behind them, joining in on the brawl.

While other guests looked on, some covering their mouths in shock at the scene, the three women continued to tussle over the bouquet as they rolled on the floor. At one point, the emcee attempted to defuse the situation by suggesting that the bride repeat the bouquet toss — but the women were undeterred in their quest to claim the flowers.

In the end, the woman in the black dress appeared to emerge victorious, using her body to pin her two rivals to the ground, allowing her to snag the bouquet.

According to What's the Jam?, the video garnered some lively comments from people shocked by the bouquet brawl.

One person wrote, "Once they’re on the floor, it becomes a matter of principle to not let go."

Another joked: “These women would win medals in wrestling at the Olympics.”

According to Brides, the bouquet toss is a centuries-old wedding tradition where the bride tosses the bouquet over her shoulders to a group of single women.

"Whoever catches the bouquet is supposedly 'next' to walk down the aisle," the outlet said. "It usually happens towards the end of the night at the reception, and it can get quite competitive."
