‘My Brilliant Friend’ Season 4 to Premiere for Tribeca Members
The benefits of being a Tribeca Member continue to roll out, with Tribeca announcing a new slew of special screenings and premieres.
Tribeca Members will be able to attend the world premiere of the final season of HBO’s critically acclaimed drama “My Brilliant Friend” starring Alba Rohrwacher and Irene Maiorino and based on the novels by Elena Ferrante. The fourth and final season of the series will debut September 9.

For podcast fans, the world premiere of Paramount Pictures’ forthcoming original podcast series “The Godfather: A Film We Can’t Refuse” is also among the Tribeca Member offerings. The podcast features exclusive insights from the legendary cast of the Francis Ford Coppola film, with Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Robert Duvall, and Talia Shire appearing. The series is hosted by The Hollywood Reporter Senior Film Editor Rebecca Keegan.

August’s schedule is merely a glimpse of the amazing events we have planned for the year.”
A special screening of Magenta Light’s horror-thriller “Strange Darling,” directed and written by JT Mollner, will take place at LOOK Dine-IN Cinemas W57th. Willa Fitzgerald, Kyle Gallner, Ed Begley Jr., and Barbara Hershey star in the feature.
Further screenings include the New York premiere of A&E documentary “Ol’ Dirty Bastard: A Tale of Two Dirtys” about the Grammy-nominated musician and Wu-Tang Clan founding member. Sam Pollard and Jason Pollard co-direct.
So Young Shelly Yo’s “Smoking Tigers” will screen ahead of its theatrical release and Max premiere. The film won Tribeca and AT&T’s Untold Stories program in 2022, and had its world premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Festival where it won Best Screenplay and Best Performance and received a special jury mention for the Nora Ephron Prize.
Each screening will be accompanied by a talkback with the filmmakers, creators or stars.
A panel discussion about the art of DJing featuring Blk ID Twins, DJ Mary mac, and Lauren Flax will also take place, followed by a dance party at NeueHouse Madison Square.
The Tribeca Membership launched in March 2024 and has hosted numerous events, including a special event with Larry David ahead of the series finale of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” an advance screening of “Ezra” with Robert De Niro, Bobby Cannavale and director Tony Goldwyn, and the world premiere of “A Quiet Place: Day One” starring Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou.
Tribeca continues to expand its year-round offering through the Tribeca Membership program, which provides arts and entertainment enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the magic of Tribeca 12 months a year. Additional curated Membership events will be announced later.
