Bristol Palin reveals her longtime stalker on new 'Teen Mom OG': 'I've had this constant threat for 10 years'
When Bristol Palin’s mother, Sarah Palin, was announced as GOP presidential candidate John McCain’s pick for a running mate in the 2008 presidential election, a stalker began eying Bristol.
The younger Palin revealed how it’s affected her in a clip People magazine obtained for Monday’s episode of Teen Mom OG. The clip shows Bristol, who joined the cast of the MTV reality show this season after Farrah Abraham left, talking with her sister Piper on a video phone call. Bristol took the call from her new house in Austin, Texas, where she’s living following her divorce from Dakota Meyer.
“So last night was my first night in the house, and I got a text message pretty late from Dakota saying that his house had got broken into,” Bristol said of Meyer, the father of two of her three kids whom she married in 2016. “His Kentucky house. I swear to God, it was the stalker.”
Bristol, 28, told her younger sister that Meyer had recorded the stalker on camera. The entire situation was weighing on her.
“I get maybe four hours of sleep as it is because I’ve had this constant threat for 10 years,” Bristol said.
Piper found her sister’s news to be “so scary.”
The stalker wasn’t identified in the clip, but the Palins have complained about multiple stalkers in the past.
In August 2014, Peter Ferrero was arrested and charged with felony stalking, after showing up at Bristol’s home in Wasilla, Alaska. He had reportedly sent her more than 1,000 messages on Facebook. Piper and a third Palin sister, Willow, sought their own protective orders against Ferrero as recently as last year.
The Blast reported in September 2017 that Willow had filed a petition for a protective order accusing Ferrero of sending her 17,000 messages on Facebook and saying threatening things, such as “I’m 500 ft from you at all times.”
Willow’s request was reportedly automatically denied when she didn’t show up for a hearing.
At the time, Ferrero was in prison for violating his probation stemming from Bristol’s case against him.
There was others too.
The Anchorage Daily News reported in September 2016 that Bristol had obtained a restraining order against Texas resident Michael Cummings after he sent her an engagement ring and visited her home in Alaska on her son’s birthday. In 2010, the state sought restraining orders to keep a man and his father from stalking the family.
