Britney Spears Discovers Snapchat, Makes the World a Better Place
Sometimes it’s the little things. In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Britney Spears made her official Snapchat debut and coincidentally made the world a slightly more joyous place. While the star has already garnered a loyal following on Instagram and Twitter thanks to her silly, charming posts, this is a new social media channel for her to explore.
In the first of two Snapchat-made videos (which, to be fair, she also tweeted and posted to Instagram), the 35-year-old mother of two puts an adorable mouse filter to work. “True story,” she captioned the clip. Then she proceeded to tell a tale of adventure and intrigue … sorta.
“It’s so weird, because I went to Vegas, and we were driving. It was really hot outside. Then I went to Red Rock, and all of a sudden I looked up and it was snowing!” she recounted as animated snow fell in the frame. She finished her video with a charming (though somewhat indescribable) expression that involved opening her mouth and wrinkling her nose.

She followed this with another Snapchat that was filter-free — or almost filter-free. She did appear to have a dainty white animated tattoo on her clavicle, and her eyes were pretty wide, but there were no mouse ears or the like. “A little late on Snapchat,” she admitted before crediting her two sons, Sean and Jayden, for showing her the ropes. “My kids showed me last week. It’s great because it makes you feel pretty!” she gushed. We hear you, Britney.

In this one, a fresh-faced Spears simply poses for the camera, checking out her various angles. She ends it by sticking out her tongue and wrinkling her nose — and brightening our day. She’s certainly come a long way from the pop princess who had a very public breakdown … though, thanks to the upcoming biopic Britney Ever After, we can all relive those dark times too. Personally, we’d rather watch her Snapchats.
