Brooks Nader Plays With Texture in Structured Jacquemus Leather Jacket and Sheer Skirt at La Maison Valmont Beverly Hills Opening

Brooks Nader made a case for mixing textures in an all-black ensemble with a cropped leather jacket and sheer skirt at the opening of the La Maison Valmont in Beverly Hills.

The Sports Illustrated model wore the La Veste Obra Cuir leather jacket from Jacquemus, part of the designer’s Les Sculptures collection. The cropped jacket featured a black lambskin exterior with a grained texture, complemented by a scoop neck and an oversized pointed collar. The jacket offered additional structure with shoulder pads and a belted waist and was finished with front press-stud and zip fastening, adding even more texture to the piece.

She paired the jacket with a form-fitting black top and a sheer ruched skirt, complete with black undergarments. Nader finished the look with silver earrings, black sunglasses and strappy sandals adorned with shimmering embellishments.

Ashlee Simpson also made an appearance at the opening in a black ensemble. The “La La” singer wore a black dress with white polka dots that reached just above her thigh. She added a black blazer and completed the look with fishnet ankle socks and chunky Mary Janes featuring a gold buckle.

Since her Sports Illustrated appearance in 2019, Nader’s style has evolved to feature edgier designs with nods to classic styles. At the Alice + Olivia spring 2025 show during New York Fashion Week earlier this month, she wore a bodycon leopard-print dress, accessorizing with oversized cat-eye sunglasses and pointed black heels.

When she was announced as a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” at the beginning of the month, she opted for an aviator-inspired Saint Laurent ensemble with a leather bomber jacket, white scoop neck top and khaki slit midi skirt.

Her fashion venture includes a ’90s-inspired collaboration with Hudson Jeans, a brand she feels particularly connected to through her Louisiana roots. “We grew up riding horses, country, little Southern girls, and we always, always, always had to have a pair of Hudson jeans.…It was the thing you had to wear, because it made your butt look so freaking good. If you weren’t wearing those in high school, no one was looking at your butt,” she previously told WWD. The 17-piece collection launches in March 2025.
