Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Victoria Canal snap a backstage photo in London

People often feel getting a photo with Bruce Springsteen is a mission impossible.

Not so with Tom Cruise. The "Top Gun" star and singer-songwriter Victoria Canal took a snap backstage with the Boss at the July 25 E Street Band show at Wembley Stadium in London.

“(I) should promote my song (california sober) coming out at midnight but i’m too busy watching bruce with the most random friend i’ve ever made! xxxx,” said Canal with her post of the pic in Instagram.

Canal, perhaps best know for her single “Swan Song,” performed with Coldplay on stage recently at the Glastonbury Festival in South West England. She and Cruise have been palling around in the United Kingdom since they met at the festival, according to People.

Cruise apparently met members of the E Street Band while backstage on Thursday.

“Not Tom Cruise coming up to Me,” said Michelle Moore, a member of the E Street Band's choir.

Cruise and the Boss have something in common — they're Jersey guys. Cruise's family moved to Glen Ridge when he was a teenager. He graduated from Glen Ridge High School, where he wrestled and played football, in 1980.

In the early 1990s, one of Cruise's three sisters, Cass Mapother, was an owner of the former Santa Fe Cafe in downtown Freehold.

Springsteen, of course, grew up in Freehold.

In the 1980s, Cruise briefly dated Patti Scialfa, sometime E Street Band member who later became Springsteen's wife.

Springsteen and E Street performed 31 songs in three hours and 15 minutes at Wembley. The Boss also helped a proposal.

“Bruce, my boyfriend will propose if he gets your harmonica,” read a sign held by a woman at Wembley, according to the stadium's social media.

Springsteen delivered after “The Promised Land.”

Up next is another night at Wembley on Saturday, July 27. The show will conclude the current European leg of the tour.
