Bryson Tiller’s 2 Daughters: All About Harley and Kelly
Bryson Tiller credits his older daughter with influencing his music taste
Bryson Tiller may be a chart-topping singer, but he's also a dedicated dad to his daughters, Harley and Kelly.
The Trapsoul musician welcomed his older child, Harley, with his former partner, Markea Bivens, in 2013. His younger daughter, Kelly, followed six years later with his girlfriend, Kendra Bailey.
Speaking to Ebony in 2023, Tiller admitted that being a musician and full-time father hasn’t always been the easiest. Still, he has found that involving his kids in his work has helped him strike a balance. “I have periods where there’s a lot of downtime, and we get to hang out all day almost,” Tiller said.
“This current season has been very busy for me though, so I do my best to include them in things I’m working on,” he added. “Even if that means bringing my oldest daughter to the studio or on tour with me. I’ll even play tracks for them as I’m working on them, and get their input, just to ensure they feel included.”
Tiller explained that his relationship with his own father, who wasn't present during his upbringing, inspired how he takes care of his children. "To other fathers out there, just try to create memories and experiences with your kids, so that they will always know that you are involved in their lives,” the artist said.
Here’s everything to know about Bryson Tiller’s daughters, Harley and Kelly.
Harley Loraine Tiller, 11
Tiller welcomed his firstborn, Harley Loraine Tiller, on July 29, 2013, with his ex-partner Markea Bivens.
“Happy 6th birthday to my very very very very best friend & daughter, Harley,” Tiller wrote on X (formerly Twitter) in 2019, alongside a video of him and Harley playing at the beach.
Over the years, Tiller has shared his journey as Harley’s father on social media, posting everything from her first lemonade stand to dressing up for Halloween. As Harley’s grown, Tiller has always been particularly vocal about their mutual love for music and her unique flair.
“My daughter’s super creative,” he shared in a 2020 conversation with Travis Scott and Chase B for Apple Music’s .WAV Radio. “She’ll be giving me ideas for crazy stuff. Listen to my music in the studio and vibe with me.”
Following her dad’s footsteps, Harley has performed and collaborated with Tiller on a few songs. In 2021, she was featured on a cover of “Winter Wonderland” for her father's Christmas EP, A Different Christmas, on which she went by her stage name Halo, according to USA Today.
Harley has also joined her father for a slew of performances throughout his Back and I’m Better tour, first surprising attendees on the tour’s Seattle stop in June 2023. In video footage captured by fans, Tiller could be heard reassuring his daughter while she joined him onstage to sing his 2015 hit “Right My Wrongs,” telling her “You got it” throughout the emotional performance.
While speaking to Rolling Stone on the red carpet for the 2024 Grammy Awards, Tiller reflected on how Harley inspires his music-making.
“My daughter has a really interesting taste in music and I always say she’s the reason why I've switched up the sound a little bit,” he said.
Tiller also shared that Harley was a huge fan of K-pop, and they enjoyed watching movies together, including the stop-motion title Coraline.
The duo even dressed up as characters from the film for Halloween in 2018. “Coraline and her ‘other’ dad,” he wrote on X alongside a photo of him and Harley posing in their spot-on costumes.
Kelly Jade Tiller, 4
Tiller welcomed his second daughter, Kelly Jade Tiller, on Dec. 26, 2019, with girlfriend Kendra Bailey.
Bailey posted a sweet photo of their newborn’s feet a few days after her birth on Instagram.
The couple announced their pregnancy a few months earlier in September. At the time, Tiller posted a photo from the baby shower on his Instagram Stories, writing, “Fatherhood is so important to me, more than anything. Thank you for all the positive messages guys it truly means the world. Wow Father of 2, gotta go twice as hard now.”
Over the years, Tiller and Bailey have documented some of Kelly’s biggest milestones on their social media pages.
In September 2020, the singer shared an adorable video of Kelly’s first steps on X. “Look who’s walking,” Tiller captioned the video in which he and Bailey can be heard cheering their daughter on as she giddily walks toward them.
Bailey also posted a heartfelt clip of Kelly’s first time in the snow on her Instagram in December 2020, in which the then-1-year-old played around in a snowsuit with her parents.
On Kelly’s second birthday in 2021, Bailey posted a touching tribute for her daughter, sharing a series of cute holiday photos, selfies and videos.
“Happy 2nd Birthday to my little Capricorn Kelly Jade,” she wrote. “I have the most adventurous, fearless, daring kid ever and very detail oriented already. Happy Birthday to my silly best friend. So happy I get to be your mommy.”
Kelly seems to have followed in her mom’s footsteps and is a mini fashionista. The model often posts pictures of her daughter’s designer outfits on Instagram, and the two sometimes even coordinate looks.
In one 2023 post, Bailey shared a sweet photo series of her and Kelly posing while wearing complementary, muted winter coats. She captioned their fashion twin moment with a simple, “Kelly & Kendra.”
