BTS’ Jin to Release Debut Solo LP, ‘Happy,’ in November
BTS member Jin will unveil his debut solo album, Happy, on Nov. 15. The musician’s record label, BigHit, first confirmed it was on its way to Korean media, “Jin is currently preparing for a new album with the goal of releasing it in November.”
On Monday, the details of the release date and album name were revealed. The announcement follows Jin’s release of the full version of his track “Super Tuna” last week.

According to a statement, the six-track album “explores Jin’s journey to discover true happiness” with the hope that those listening will also “find joy.”
Jin initially released “Super Tuna,” as a shorter version, in December 2021. It quickly topped the Billboard World Digital Song Sales and Digital Song Sales charts, and remained on the Hot Trending Songs chart for 45 consecutive weeks.
The singer, who completed his mandatory military service earlier this summer, made his official solo debut in 2022 on “The Astronaut,” which was co-written by Coldplay. Unlike his bandmates, Jin has yet to release his own album outside of BTS.
Jin recently spoke with Weverse magazine about his time in military and his return to music with “Super Tuna.” He confirmed that he is “hard at work on my new album.”
“Fortunately, the guys all finished making their own albums before enlisting, and now Jimin’s is coming out,” Jin said. “That made me think I better not wait too long to release mine after his is out, so I’m working to get it done fast. It’d be nice to go on some variety shows, too. And, since ARMY hasn’t seen my face in so long, I wanted to put it somewhere ARMY could see it nice and big, so I specifically took out ad space on the biggest billboards I could find.”
The South Korean musician finished his military service in June and celebrated by taking part in the Olympic torch relay for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Since his return, Jin announced plans appear on a television variety show, Kian’s Bizarre B&B, which is set to air on Netflix.
“I’m working on recording music and filming variety shows,” he shared in a statement. “I’m trying to focus on my main job while showing my face as much as possible. The results will be out in a few months, so please wait a little longer.”
