BTS’ Jin Shares Rockabilly-Inspired Song ‘I’ll Be There’
BTS’ Jin has shared a new song ahead of the release of his solo LP, Happy. The upbeat track, titled “I’ll Be There,” pays homage to the rockabilly genre, fusing rock and country influences.
A press release notes, “The track conveys a sincere message, aiming to uplift those who feel downhearted and alone by delivering joy through Jin’s playful yet straightforward style. Jin participated in the production of the track alongside American singer songwriter MAX, achieving another level of artistic growth.”

Alongside the song, Jin shared a music video that amplifies his image as a rock star. In the clip, he and his band perform outside while dozens of fans run towards them and then start a party in the parking lot around them.
Jin will release his debut solo album, Happy, on Nov. 15. It will feature six tracks and “explores Jin’s journey to discover true happiness,” according to a press release. “Throughout the album, Jin candidly and wholeheartedly shares a range of emotions such as love, excitement, and courage—essential ingredients to reaching true happiness,” it notes.
Happy features production and songwriting from Take That’s Gary Barlow, who worked on “Running Wild.” Meanwhile, Taka and Toru of celebrated Japanese rock band, One OK Rock, worked on “Falling.” Additional contributions came from Jacob Attwooll Pdogg, Ghstloop, Evan, Arcades, Matt Attard, Joshua Thompson, and more.
Unlike his BTS bandmates, Jin has yet to drop a full solo project, though he has shared several solo songs over the years. In December 2021, he dropped a short track called “Super Tuna,” though he only just released the full version of the song. Prior to enlisting in the military in 2022, Jin shared “The Astronaut,” a song he co-wrote with Coldplay. Earlier this month, he released a new version of his hit “Super Tuna.”
The South Korean musician finished his military service in June and celebrated by taking part in the Olympic torch relay for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Since his return, Jin announced plans appear on a television variety show, Kian’s Bizarre B&B, which is set to air on Netflix.
