BTS performs on 'AGT,' and fans open the floodgates on Twitter
South Korean boy band BTS opened up Wednesday’s America’s Got Talent live results show with a performance of their hit song “Idol,” which immediately opened up the floodgates on Twitter with #BTSonAGT. It began with sentiments like this:
But considering the hugely popular K-pop supergroup won Billboard’s Top Social Artist Award in 2017, it’s no wonder over 1 million tweets came in throughout the high-energy performance. Reactions ranged from the straightforward to a slightly more bold variety.
Perhaps the most talked-about moment was a brief one that came post-song, when Kim Taehyung, also known as V, gave a little smile and look to the crowd.
Sadly the performance, and the tweets, had to come to an end.
America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of America’s Got Talent for free on Yahoo View.
