Buddy Valastro is trading his cake-making skills for an acting gig!
During the holiday season, the Buddy Valastro's Cake Dynasty star will appear in a Lifetime movie alongside Tia Mowry and Luke Humphrey — and PEOPLE can reveal the official trailer for the festive film.
Airing Sunday, Dec. 10, Yes, Chef! Christmas follows Alicia Gellar (Mowry), a culinary school instructor who has put both her true career aspirations and personal life on the back burner. When she’s invited to compete in the city’s annual Kringle Cook-Off, she learns a family secret that could change the trajectory of her career and turn her into a respected chef like her former boss Bobby (Valastro).
Throughout the film, Logan (Humphrey) serves as Alicia’s mentor during the competition as she cooks her heart out to prove that she is a capable head chef.
Logan makes sure Alicia “knows how to cook under pressure” so that she can clinch the victory. The sneak peek above shows the pair’s relationship heat up as they expand their game talk and open up about their personal lives.
“Win or lose, we’re in this together,” Logan says at the end of the clip.
The trailer also gives viewers a glimpse at Valastro's acting skills. “You think I’m ready?” Alicia asks him regarding the competition. He responds: “You are one of the most talented chefs in Chicago!”
“Once you put that apron on, all your problems melt away,” he says later in the trailer.
