Buzz Lightyear Is 'Held Up' in the Super Bowl Trailer for Toy Story 4 — Watch
The gang’s all back in the Super Bowl trailer for Toy Story 4!
Disney/Pixar released a new trailer on Sunday, featuring the whole gang checking out a carnival. Buzz Lightyear, unfortunately, is “held up” — as a prize at one of the carnival games, where he has a run-in with some new furry friends.
It was previously announced the beloved character of Bo Peep — who appears in the Super Bowl ad — would be central to the plot of the latest installment.
“Bo’s taken control of her own destiny,” said Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley in a press release. “While Woody was watching Andy grow up, Bo gathered dust until she took it upon herself to head out into the world. And when Woody shows up, they can’t believe that they’ve found each other again.”

Woody and Bo were an item in the first movie, but the toy was left out of the third installment where Andy had grown up and sold her in a yard sale. The teaser for the new movie shows a much different Bo with a practical jumpsuit replacing the delicate dress that she first wore.
WATCH: Tom Hanks to Star as Mister Rogers in You Are My Friend
Pixar previously introduced a new character in the first teaser — Forky, who looks like a fork with a pair of googly eyes and a pipe cleaner tied around it for arms.
Although much more remains unknown about the fourth installment of the beloved family franchise, the film will see a return of many of the iconic characters that first captivated audiences in 1995.
Tom Hanks returns as the voice of Woody, while Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Bonnie Hunt and Laurie Metcalf reprise their roles of Buzz, Jessie, Dolly and Mrs. Davis, respectively. Randy Newman also returns as the composer of the film. He was nominated for Best Original Song in 1996 for the film’s theme song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”
Toy Story 4 opens June 21.
