California fires do the unthinkable: Bring James Woods and Alyssa Milano together
If there’s one positive takeaway from the horrible wildfires currently raging in Southern California, it’s that people are able to put political differences aside and lend a helping hand when needed.
Outspoken conservative actor James Woods took a break from sending controversial tweets and turned his Twitter page into a place where people can get word out about missing loved ones, or for anyone seeking help for their animals.
For twelve hours we have been using two dedicated hashtags (#CampFireJamesWoods, #SoCalFiresJamesWoods) so people can coordinate finding each other on my @Twitter feed. Just tweet info on missing persons using a hashtag by geography or search for those missing the same way.

The Casino star even reached across the aisle when political-foe Alyssa Milano needed shelter for her five horses.
Spray paint them with a phone number as a last resort and let them run. Do not leave them contained. #SoCalFiresJamesWoods https://t.co/R7krd0Wfbg

Important: if you must free them as a last resort, be sure to remove their halters. @Alyssa_Milano #SoCalFiresJamesWoods https://t.co/aUldBrBFMO

In a follow up tweet, Woods exclaimed that despite previous reports, Milano’s horses had not been evacuated. (It’s unclear if the two privately exchanged any messages.) “Please contact her at @Alyssa_Milano to get her location or use my hashtag #SoCalFiresJamesWoods,” Woods shared. “This is a serious request.”
She needs help with five horses. It was previously reported that her horses had been evacuated, but she says that did not happen. Please contact her at @Alyssa_Milano to get her location or use my hashtag #SoCalFiresJamesWoods This is a serious request. https://t.co/R7krd0Wfbg

Woods, an avid Trump supporter, even took on a fan who asked “why the hell” he would help someone like Milano.
Because her animals are in danger and she needs help. @Alyssa_Milano #SoCalFiresJamesWoods https://t.co/GFc66PGSal

Friday afternoon, Milano tweeted that her horses were finally safe. She also had a message for those “who insisted on still being hurtful because our political affiliation is different.”
Horses are finally safe. My children are safe. My home is in jeopardy but… everything with a heartbeat is safe. Thank you all for your concern.
To those who insisted on still being hurtful because our political affiliation is different, you are what is wrong with the country.

People thanked Woods for his help in the ongoing situation despite varying political beliefs.
Well… never thought I’d say this, but if you’re in the path of the fires in SoCal and need help with people or animals, check and post on the hashtag #SoCalFiresJamesWoods
Just saw that he was helping coordinate rescue for Alyssa Milano’s horses.

Thanks. Politics pale by comparison to the work so many did yesterday, last night, and are still doing. Let’s join together and save at least one life… #CampFireJamesWoods https://t.co/2zdTszdT1r

Milano herself gave a thank you to Woods. She also complimented him on his efforts to assist others.
Thank you, Mr. Woods. Appreciate what you’re doing with your feed.

Milano isn’t the only celebrity forced to evacuate. Kim and Kourtney Kardashian also fled their homes as have thousands of people in the area. California Gov.-elect Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency.
