Cam Newton Says He Wants More Kids, Has Higher Fear Of Marriage Than Divorce

Cam Newton recently expressed that he’d like to add to his eight children, and also has a “low” desire to get married.

While recently speaking on his Funky Friday podcast with guest Dr. Cheyenne Bryant, the former NFL player opened up about his children that he shares with three women, and desire to grow his family.

“I want more,” he said before the life coach asked, “By multiple women? What’s the intent? Or by your wife?” The 35-year-old continued, “I just want God to bring them… Because my point is this: my desire to get married is lower than my fear of divorce.”

Dr. Bryant then gave him her honest opinion and said he’s “selfishly creating broken families.” Receptive of her remarks, Newton explained that he’s “taking his time” and wants a large family.

Back in April, Newtown shared similar sentiments with Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast. “People saying, ‘You having all these kids.’ I take care of all my kids. See, that’s the thing. I always wanted a big family. I come from that so I want that,” he opened up.

“I owe due diligence to each woman who [has] given me that, and I respect them the same,” he continued. “Do I have jurisdiction over who they talk to? No. But I owe a service to loving them unconditionally no matter what they do, and we have to co-parent together.”

In March, Newton welcomed his eighth child, a baby girl, with comedian Jasmin Brown. Brown shared the information on social media with after-birth videos and pictures at the time.

The pro athlete previously spoke on his relationship with Jasmin during a 2023 episode of his podcast.

“First off, with me and mine, she already know. It ain’t no privacy,” he started. “We in there together. That’s our thing. I know this is TMI, but that’s my dawg. We got the saying where we’re like, ‘We’re two retired thots that came together.’ We see both of our jerseys in the rafters… Hers got more dust on it than me. Mine recently just went up there.”
