Capcom announces 'Resident Evil Revelations 2'
While they await news about Resident Evil 7, fans of Capcom’s franchise can keep themselves entertained with the Resident Evil Revelations 2.
During a Sony event in Japan anticipation of the Tokyo Game Show later this month, Capcom producer Masachika Kawata revealed that Revelations 2 is currently in development, and shared a live-action teaser trailer for the game.
Little is known about the game’s plot or gameplay changes, though it will be set in a new time period and setting rather than revisit its predecessor’s locale. The first Revelations was set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 and allowed players to control series staples Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. Kawata also stated that neither of those characters will be this game’s protagonists, though no other specifics were given.
Revelations 2 will release in 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC, so expect more details to be revealed in the coming months.
