Captain Sandy Yawn Reveals Who Is the “Best Chef” She Has "Ever Had" On Her Team

Captain Sandy Yawn has worked with many memorable chefs over the years, but on the October 31 episode of Below Deck Mediterranean, she had special praise for one in particular.

As the charter guests told Sandy they were enjoying the breakfast chef Dave White had prepared, Sandy responded, "He's, like, the best chef I've ever had."

Although this particular charter was filled with a few ups and downs when it came to meal service, Dave once again blew the guests away during dinner that night. While two people who said they didn't like fish were initially disappointed to find out Dave had made a fish-focused meal, they had an entirely different outlook after trying his dishes.

"I wanna say thank you for giving me the fish even though I thought I didn't even like fish. [I'm] obsessed with fish now, I guess," one of the guests told Dave, before another added, "You've made some people some seafood eaters...great job."

Dave seemed thrilled, telling the guests, "That makes me happy."

On the show's July 25 episode, Sandy raved about Dave's culinary skills. “Some of the chefs I’ve had were incredible, but Dave is like no other chef I’ve ever had on the planet,” she said in an episode interview. “He is the true artist. It’s incredible to witness this guy at work.”
